Crazy isn’t it, to think you can have all these symptoms and it be due to those pesky hormones going haywire.
But that’s not the whole story – those lovely hormones of yours need help from other ‘systems’ that are working in the body. They need:
Lots of vital nutrients
Good cell membranes for the hormone receptors
Great gut health is needed to help produce hormones as well as ensure digestive processes function well (e.g. for insulin release and motility)
Healthy sources of protein to be able to function
Everything connects and we need all areas to be working together so we can have great health – so, for instance, by making sure your gut and digestion is functioning well, you’ll be helping your hormones do their job too.
So if you're very stressed for example, all those B vitamins will be used up trying to keep you in the 'stress' response and as a consequence can disrupt your other hormones.
You need everything to be in balance to ensure your hormones are looked after - so your hormones can look after you 😊
And remember, ALL the symptoms mentioned above can be relieved.
It simply isn’t true that as we age and go through the menopause that we inevitably have to live with achy stiff joints or getting out of breath as we climb the stairs; or feel we can’t think clearly and have memory loss. We don’t have to ‘put up with’ feeling tired at the end of the day (or even by midday) or feel stressed to the point where the joy has gone.
It’s a great feeling to get that control back. You are in charge of your health .......
